The 1925 Peace Dollar captures the optimism surrounding the end of World War I in one of the most recognizable designs in American coinage. Anthony de Francisci’s portrait of Liberty fills the obverse, modeled by his wife, Teresa, while the reverse depicts an eagle standing on a rock inscribed “PEACE,” with an olive branch beneath its feet and rays of sunlight rising behind it.

Struck by the United States Mint in 90% silver, the coin contains .77344 troy oz of silver. The original Peace Dollar series was minted from 1921 through 1928 and again from 1934 through 1935. This 1924 example is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
