The 1923 Peace Dollar was created to commemorate the end of World War I, and its design carries that purpose directly into the imagery. Lady Liberty appears on the obverse in Anthony de Francisci’s celebrated design, modeled by his wife Teresa, while the reverse shows an eagle standing on a rock inscribed “PEACE,” accompanied by an olive branch and rising rays of sunlight.

Struck by the United States Mint in 90% fine silver, the coin contains .77344 troy oz of silver. The original Peace Dollar series was minted from 1921 through 1928 and again from 1934 through 1935. This 1923 example is offered in Almost Uncirculated condition and ships in a protective plastic flip.

Selected by Elementls for its connection to the history of American peace, expressive design, and tangible silver content, this is an accessible way to own an enduring piece of early 20th-century American history.
